Shop with a Hero

22 kids from Kalamazoo and Van Buren counties finished their holiday shopping, thanks to some help from local law enforcement.

Meijer’s annual “Shop with a Hero” event happened in Oshtemo Township on Tuesday, Dec. 18.

The group of kids picked out gifts for themselves as well as their families. The day started with a state trooper picking each kid up from school and taking them to lunch before an afternoon of shopping.
